About the Role

A Commercial Insurance broker with offices in Twickenham is seeking a Technical Placement Broker to join their team. The role involves building and maintaining strong relationships with insurer partners, ensuring effective placement of large, complex commercial risks, and maintaining governance in insurer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop and implement a regional broking and placement strategy aligned with the company's national strategy.
2. Drive business growth, enhance client retention, and ensure profitability through effective broking strategies.
3. Serve as the primary broking and placement contact for the business.
4. Broking of all large, complex new business risks.
5. Act as a troubleshooter for Commercial and Corporate renewals with broking or placement issues.
6. Negotiate and close deals on renewals and new risks using technical knowledge and market insights.
7. Build and maintain strong relationships with insurers, conducting quarterly reviews.
8. Monitor and review insurer placement deals to ensure account performance targets are met.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance from a broking or insurance company environment.
• Proven experience in commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
• Deep understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
• Experience in placing complex risks, including Lloyds Markets.
• In-depth knowledge of commercial lines insurer markets.
• Excellent insurer trading and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
