A Commercial Insurance broker providing insurance solutions to both businesses and individuals with offices in Twickenham now has an opportunity for a Technical Placement Broker to join the team.

The role of a Technical Placement Broker involves building and maintaining strong relationships with insurer partners, ensuring effective placement of large, complex commercial risks, and maintaining governance in relation to new and existing insurer relationships.

Key accountabilities will include:

1. Developing and executing a regional broking and placement strategy aligned with the company's national strategy.
2. Driving business growth, enhancing client retention, and ensuring profitability through strategic broking and placement.
3. Serving as the primary broking and placement contact for the business.
4. Broking all large, complex new business risks.
5. Acting as a troubleshooter for Commercial and Corporate renewals with broking or placement issues.
6. Using technical knowledge and market insights to negotiate and close deals on renewals and new business risks.
7. Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers, including quarterly reviews.
8. Monitoring and reviewing insurer placement deals to ensure overall account performance.

Qualifications and skills required:

• Strong knowledge of commercial lines insurance gained in a broking or insurance company environment.
• Proven experience in commercial lines insurance broking or underwriting.
• In-depth understanding of commercial insurance products and principles.
• Experience in placing complex risks, including Lloyd's Markets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurer markets.
• Excellent insurer trading and negotiation skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
