Job summary

Millbank Holdings Ltd is seeking a Piping Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team delivering design assessment, operational support and long-term integrity across complex facilities in a highly regulated environment. You will contribute to technically substantiated decisions, perform pipe stress analysis, and prepare engineering justifications to support design changes and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a piping engineer in high-risk environments.
• Knowledge of current engineering standards, codes and industry best practices (British and European).
• Experience undertaking pipe stress analysis and evaluating plant systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review and maintain engineering substantiation documentation for safe operation of critical facilities.
• Produce and evaluate engineering modifications, technical concessions and design change packages in line with regulatory requirements.
• Present technical submissions and engineering justifications to internal governance and safety review panels.
• Support the development of inspection, maintenance and testing strategies to ensure compliance and asset reliability.
• Provide specialist engineering guidance, conduct technical assessments, and review calculations and reports prepared by internal teams and external suppliers.

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading engineering consultancy supporting critical national infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join a multidisciplinary engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the design assessment, operational support, and long-term integrity of complex engineering systems within a highly regulated environment.

Your duties and responsibilities will be

• Develop, review and maintain engineering substantiation documentation supporting the ongoing safe operation of critical facilities.

• Present technical submissions and engineering justifications to internal governance and safety review panels.

You will have the following qualifications and experience

• Demonstrable experience as a Piping Engineer within industrial, manufacturing, maritime, defence, nuclear or other high-risk environments.
• Strong understanding of current engineering standards, codes and industry best practices, including British and European standards.
• Experience undertaking pipe stress analysis and assessing plant systems and equipment subjected to operational hazards.
• Proven ability to develop technical justifications and engineering documentation supporting design modifications and safety compliance.
• HNC or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline, with Incorporated Engineer status or comparable industry experience.
