Job summary

Kinetic plc is recruiting x2 Pipewelders for specialist pipework and fabrications. Role involves TIG/MAG welding to X-ray standards, reading drawings, and fabricating pipes and skids. Permanent after a 26-week probation, with OTE around £54,440, and a 54k base with Friday overtime if chosen.

Working hours are 7:00–17:30 Monday to Thursday, with paid lunch breaks and optional overtime on Fridays. Location: Morley, commutable from nearby towns; parking is free, pension available, and extra

Qualifications

• As Pipewelder, 2+ years of fabrication and pipe welding experience in stainless steel and mild steels.
• Qualified / time served with MIG and TIG welding in a similar engineering environment.
• Driving licence and own vehicle due to site location.

Job description

x2 Pipewelders required for specialist pipework and fabrications firm looking to increase head count due to expansion & new facility. Working only Monday to Thursday, enjoy a long weekend off, lunch breaks are paid, Free parking, Pension. Extra day holiday for your birthday. Can buy upto 5days extra holiday after probationary period. 54k OTE working only 5hours OT Friday if you want it!

As Pipewelder your day to day duties will cover (but not be limited to):

• Welding to X ray standard on both stainless and carbon steel (mild) materials
• Ability to read drawings and cut pipe spools unsupervised
• Majority of the welding is Tig & Mag welding
• You must be able to weld at position PA/PB

Weld test will take place at interview stage and will consist of the following:

• TIG stainless steel 54-89mm diameter wall thickness 2mm-5.49mm
• and a MAG Carbon steel 114mm diameter wall thickness 4.54mm

As Pipewelder, you may be required to work onsite on occasions so strong mechanical assembly & fitting skills is required! (You don't have to go onsite if you prefer fixed shop based work - please indicate this with Kinetic)

Fabricating pipes, flanges, plant rooms, skids to a very high specification onto pipe spools.

All other general fab shop duties expected of you across the shift

As Pipewelder you will be expected to work and adhere to strict Health and Safety standards set by the company!

To be successful in your application as Pipewelder you MUST hold:

• Skills and have a proven work experience in fabrication and pipe welding with stainless steel and mild steels for 2 years or more!
• Necessary qualifications/ apprenticeship/ be time served and experienced in MIG TIG welding within a similar engineering environment.
• A Driving License and have your own vehicle due to location of site and potential wagon driving adhoc on the job.

Status: Permanent after successful completion of 26week contract of service period (like a probationary period)

Pay: OTE 54,440

( 46.2k basic salary 21.15ph PAYE for standard 42hours + x1.5 Overtime Fridays average 5hours)

Working hours: 7am until 5.30pm Monday to Thursday, 42 standard hours, lunch and breaks are paid!

Location: Morley commutable from Shipley, Otley, Bradford, Wakefield, Dewsbury, Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax and local train stations.
