Job summary

BMC Software, Inc. is seeking a Lead AI Acceleration Engineer to join our team in the United Kingdom, with remote options. You will drive the deployment and customization of agentic AI in customer environments and own end-to-end feature integrations across regions.

Qualifications

• Typically 8–13 years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proficiency in Python and software-engineering fundamentals; strong knowledge of LLM/RAG/agents/prompt engineering.
• Experience with containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable with customer interactions.
• Rapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.
• Experience with multi-engagement or multi-team adoption of practices you led.
• Ability to set delivery standards for customer engineering beyond a single account.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and customize BMC’s agentic AI in customer environments.
• Take end-to-end ownership of features and integrations.
• Build integrations with customer systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support POCs and pilots; remove blockers; keep stakeholders informed.
• Travel across regions/time zones as needed; work with customers.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor on agentic-AI adoption with governance.
• Provide field learnings to product and engineering teams.
• Contribute pragmatic engineering standards — CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps.
• Define repeatable deployment and value-realization patterns across customers.
• Lead complex/strategic accounts technically; raise product gaps with priorities.
• Coach and raise the bar for acceleration engineering practices.
• Align Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer teams on field standards.

• Deploy, configure, and customize BMC’s agentic AI in customer environments (on-prem, hyperscaler, or OpenShift), ensuring value from Day 1.
• Take ownership of features and integrations end-to-end, even when requirements are incomplete or evolving.
• Build integrations with customer systems and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Support proofs-of-concept and pilots end-to-end; resolve technical and business blockers; keep stakeholders informed.
• Work directly with customers across regions/time zones, with travel as required.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor on agentic-AI adoption with human-in-the-loop, governed approaches.
• Bring field learnings back to product and engineering based on real usage.
• Contribute pragmatic engineering standards — CI/CD, automated testing, and DevOps practices.
• Define repeatable deployment, integration, and value-realization patterns across customers.
• Lead complex/strategic accounts technically; elevate systemic product gaps with prioritization.
• Coach and raise the bar for the acceleration engineering practice.
• Align Product, Engineering, Security, and Customer teams on shared field standards.

To ensure you’re set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Typically 8–13 years of relevant experience
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Python and software-engineering fundamentals; LLM/RAG/agents/prompt engineering literacy (depth scales with level).
• Containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and CI/CD as level requires.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; customer comfort scales with level.
• Rapid prototyping and ownership; willingness to travel as needed.
• Multi-engagement or multi-team adoption of practices you led.
• Sets delivery standards for customer engineering, not only excels on one account.
• Balances customization pressure with productized, supportable solutions.
