Job summary

Mane is recruiting a Pipelayer for a major data centre construction project. You will install drainage, sewer and ducting systems, lay underground pipework and manholes, and set pipes to precise levels from drawings.

Ideal candidates will have CSCS/NVQ qualifications where required, experience on large projects, and a solid safety mindset. Immediate starts available for suitable applicants on site.

Responsibilities

• Install drainage, sewer and ducting systems.
• Lay and connect underground pipework and manholes.
• Set pipes to correct levels and gradients.
• Work from drawings and specifications.
• Backfill and bed pipework; prepare trenches.
• Coordinate with Groundworkers and plant operators.

Job description

We are currently recruiting Pipelayers to join a major data centre construction project.

Duties will include:

• Installation of drainage, sewer and ducting systems
• Laying and connecting underground pipework
• Setting pipes to correct levels and gradients
• Working from drawings and specifications
• Bedding, haunching and backfilling pipework
• Excavation and preparation of pipe trenches
• Working alongside Groundworkers and plant operators
• Installing manholes, chambers and associated drainage infrastructure
• Carrying out general groundworks duties when required
• Following site health & safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pipelayer, preferably on large commercial, industrial or data centre projects
• Relevant CSCS/NVQ qualification where required
• Experience with drainage and underground pipework
• Ability to read drawings and work to levels/gradients
• Good understanding of site health & safety
• Full PPE
• Reliable and able to work as part of a site team
