Job summary

VGC Group is seeking an experienced Pipelayer to join a project in Alton, Hampshire. The role is based on site with a pay rate of £20.67 per hour and approximately 10 hours per day.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years’ experience and relevant qualifications in piping and construction site safety. Based in Alton, the Pipelayer will perform drainage-related tasks, measure and lay pipes, and ensure correct alignment while adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Blue CSCS NVQ LVL 2 Pipelayer Card is required.
• CPCS Plant Ticket is required.
• Confined space qualification preferable.

Responsibilities

• Full understanding of duties required for drainage works.
• Excavate and prepare trenches for pipe laying.
• Measure, cut, and lay pipes accurately according to the project plans and specifications.
• Ensure pipes are aligned and positioned correctly.
• Ability to use trench boxes or supports.
• Follow all safety protocols and regulations on the construction site.

Experience: 2 years +

Qualifications: Blue CSCS NVQ LVL 2 Pipelayer Card, CPCS Plant Ticket, Confined space Preferable.

Pipelayer experience

Your role as a Pipelayer will be based in Alton and will consist of:

• Full understanding of duties required for drainage works.

Based in Alton remuneration for this role is £20.67 per hour, you will accrue holiday entitlement and be eligible to join the VGC pension scheme once certain criteria have been met.
