Job summary

KineticPlc in Irlam, England, is seeking a Pipefitter/Welder to join its West Manchester engineering team on a permanent basis. You will perform pipefitting, fabrication and welding, with substantial overtime and a path to earnings around £50,000+ per year.

The role offers a £35,000 basic salary, regular overtime, and a company bonus depending on performance. Training for licences and a Friday-Thursday shift pattern may apply in a busy, hands-on environment.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Engineer or Pipefitter with a recognised apprenticeship or engineering qualification.
• Experience of pipefitting and fabrication.
• Competent MIG and Stick (MMA) welder.
• Able to read engineering drawings.
• A team player with a flexible approach to supporting the wider engineering function.

Responsibilities

• Pipefitting, fabrication and installation work.
• Welding using MIG and Stick (MMA).
• Working on predominantly 2"-4" pipework.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Supporting the maintenance team with repairs and planned maintenance.
• Assisting with plant and equipment improvement projects.
