Job summary

AdMel Ltd. in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Pipefitter/Welder with extensive knowledge of pipework fabrication and installation. The role includes factory work, local site projects and occasional travel; welding will include TIG, MAG and orbital processes.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Pipefitter / Welder with extensive knowledge of pipework fabrication and installation.

The ideal candidate will have experience across a range of pipework systems and processes and be competent in welding, including TIG, MAG and orbital welding.

Skill Requirements

• Strong understanding of safe working practices
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently
• Ability to work from P&IDs and schematics
• Ability to read and work from isometric drawings
• Measuring, draughting and sketching ability
• Material take-offs
• Traceability and weld log experience
• Polypropylene butt fusion, socket fusion and electrofusion
• Pressure testing, including hydrostatic and pneumatic testing
• Basic plumbing skills

Preferred but Not Essential Skills

• Medical gas brazing, including copper and brass
• MMA welding experience
• Oxy-fuel cutting and profiling
• Pipe preparation and cutting
• CSWIP 3.0 Welding Inspection

Certificates / Qualifications

Ideally, candidates will hold:

• NVQ Level 3 in Pipework Fabrication or Welding, or City & Guilds equivalent
• CSCS Gold Card or higher
• Full UK driving licence
• Safety Passport preferred

Day-to-Day Activities

Depending on the scope of work, the role may involve working in our factory, on local sites or travelling to projects further afield.
