Job summary

Altrad is recruiting a Pipefitter Supervisor for the Hinkley Point C project in Bridgwater, Somerset. The role involves supervising repair and service of high/low-pressure piping, interpreting drawings and coordinating with trades on a 10/4 shift pattern.

Daily duties include ensuring safety, managing workflow, and testing plant systems. The position offers an hourly rate of £33.23 basic, with lodge and travel paid where applicable and potential overtime on non-working days.

Qualifications

• Valid CCNSG Safety Passport
• Approved Apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3
• Proven Supervisory Experience
• Additional quals for supervision include either IOSH, SMSTS or LATS
• Maintain the highest standards of Health and Safety, Environmental Performance and Industrial Relations

Responsibilities

• Oversee repair and service of high/low-pressure piping systems for installation
• Examine plant or machinery to identify defects and determine corrective actions
• Study drawings, manuals and specifications to plan operations
• Dismantle, repair or replace components and reassemble plant or machinery
• Test plant/machinery and adjust as required
• Ensure safety checks and proper use of tools and equipment including heat work
• Operate crane basics and assist with plant installation as needed
• Carry out standby duties and align with site procedures
