Job summary

BAE Systems in Barrow-in-Furness is seeking Pipefitters for a long-term contract. Start date is 19 October 2026 and end date is 23 December 2026, with potential extension into the New Year. This role requires a Level 3 Pipefitting Qualification and experience reading engineering drawings.

Hours are 10 hours per day, seven days a week. Rates include £23.45/h for standard hours, £32.83/h overtime, and £42.21/h Sunday overtime, with travel pay and daily digs allowance provided.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Pipefitting Qualification required.
• Ability to work from engineering drawings.
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards.
• Previous heavy industrial, nuclear, marine or defence experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings to execute pipefitting tasks.
• Carry out pipefitting activities in line with project specifications and schedules.

• £32.83 per hour - Overtime 1 Monday to Friday and Saturday
• £42.21 per hour - Overtime 2 Sunday
