Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and determine pipe layout, depth and alignment.
• Excavate trenches using hand tools or machinery, following safety guidelines.
• Install and position pipes in trenches according to project specs.
• Connect and seal pipes using fittings, couplings and joints.
• Inspect and test pipe systems for leaks with gauges and tools.
• Backfill trenches and compact soil to restore ground surface.
• Operate excavation equipment such as excavators, loaders or pipe-laying machines.
• Coordinate with a team to ensure efficient workflow.
• Adhere to schedules and report issues to supervision.
