Job summary

Norse Contracts Ltd seeks a deep drainage gang for a fixed-term project near Nottingham. You will work on deep excavations including shoring and trench boxes, installing drainage runs, manholes and connections.

Experience in deep drainage, valid CSCS cards, CPCS/NPORS 360 for operators, and Slinger/Signaller qualifications are required; medicals must be current. 6 months work with potential for extension; 7:30am–4:30pm, Mon–Fri, site-based role.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as part of a deep drainage gang.
• Experience with shoring/trench boxes in deep excavations.
• Valid CSCS cards for all gang members.
• CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator ticket for the operator with lifting ops.
• Slinger/Signaller ticket for the pipe layer.
• Safety medicals in date for all gang members.

Responsibilities

• Digging and laying drainage runs to line and level.
• Install manholes, chambers and connections.
• Install and remove shoring/trench boxes.
• Lift and place pipes, manhole rings and materials.
• Backfill and reinstate as required.

The gang:

• * Pipe Layer
• * 360 Excavator Operator
• * Groundworker

The job:

Deep drainage around a new industrial unit. Excavations are deep and need shoring/trench support, so the gang must have experience working safely in supported deep excavations.

What the work involves:

• * Digging and laying drainage runs to line and level
• * Installing manholes, chambers and connections
• * Installing and removing shoring/trench boxes
• * Lifting and placing pipes, manhole rings and materials
• * Backfilling and reinstatement

What you need:

• * Proven experience as a deep drainage gang
• * Experience with shoring/trench boxes in deep excavations
• * Valid CSCS cards for all gang members
• * CPCS or NPORS 360 Excavator ticket for the operator, with lifting operations
• * Lifting operations ticket (Slinger/Signaller) for the pipe layer
• * Safety critical medicals in date for all gang members
