Job summary

Heathcoat Fabrics Limited in Tiverton invites applications for a Trainee Pipe Fitter to join our Engineering Department on high-profile commercial and industrial installations across the business. You will work with experienced engineers, modern equipment and long-term projects where quality work is recognised and rewarded.

The role involves installing carbon, copper, stainless steel and plastic pipework, collaborating with welders, HVAC engineers and project managers.

Qualifications

• GCSE English and Maths grade 4 or above.
• A mechanical aptitude.
• Strong understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Experience with pneumatics and/or plumbing (advantageous).
• Good manual dexterity and practical problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with SOPs.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Install carbon, copper, stainless steel and plastic pipework systems.
• Collaborate with welders, HVAC Engineers and Project Managers.
• Support ongoing maintenance and site installations in commercial and industrial environments.
