Medacs Healthcare is recruiting for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Sunderland. This hybrid role blends home working with assessment centre time, offering stability and a balanced pattern for clinicians such as nurses, physiotherapists, paramedics or occupational therapists.

You will conduct PIP assessments, analyse evidence, and produce clear written reports. The position requires UK clinical experience, NMC/HCPC registration and strong report-writing skills.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (NMC) or HCPC registered professional (Nurse, Paramedic, Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist)
• Active NMC or HCPC registration with no restrictions
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Confident use of digital systems (35 WPM typing speed)
• Right to work in the UK (sponsorship not available)

Responsibilities

• Conduct face-to-face and telephone PIP assessments in a professional and empathetic manner
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information
• Produce accurate, detailed and evidence-based written reports
• Work to defined quality standards and clinical frameworks
• Engage positively with feedback and development opportunities
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues
• Attend the assessment centre as required
