Medacs Healthcare is hiring for a PIP Functional Assessor / Disability Assessor in Scunthorpe. The role blends home working with time at assessment centres, focusing on clinical reasoning, report writing and evidence-based evaluations.

You must be an NMC-registered nurse or HCPC-registered paramedic, physiotherapist or occupational therapist with UK experience. The role offers a salary of £39,500–£41,000 per year, with an OTE up to £47,150.

Qualifications

• Essential: Registered Nurse (RGN/RMN/RNLD) or HCPC registrant with active status.
• Minimum 1 year's UK clinical experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Proficient in using digital systems and typing speed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct PIP assessments (face-to-face and telephone) in a professional, empathetic manner.
• Analyse medical evidence and clinical information for accurate conclusions.
• Produce detailed, evidence-based written reports.
• Meet defined quality standards and clinical frameworks.
• Engage with feedback and participate in development opportunities.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative colleagues and attend assessment centres as needed.
