Job summary

BCHA is seeking a dedicated Benefits & Entitlements Advisor to join the Access Wellbeing team across BCP. You will provide specialist advice and practical support to individuals facing barriers to accessing benefits, with a focus on disability-related entitlements such as PIP.

You will guide clients through applications, evidence gathering, assessments and appeals where needed, helping them understand options and access the support available while adhering to safeguarding and data protection

Qualifications

• Experience in welfare benefits advice and advocacy.
• Understanding of disability entitlements (PIP) and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice on welfare benefits including PIP and other entitlements.
• Support clients with eligibility criteria, application forms and evidence gathering.
• Explain decisions and outline options following outcomes and appeals where appropriate.
• Maintain accurate case records and work within safeguarding and data protection policies.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary wellbeing team to support positive outcomes.
