Job summary

Donard Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Functional Specialist to operate in a hybrid role, delivering assessments for the Government’s disability allowance (PIP). Qualified nurses or allied health professionals will manage caseloads end-to-end, with both in-person and remote assessments, and produce paper-based reports.

You will be registered with NMC or HCPC (no restrictions) and bring excellent communication and IT skills.

Qualifications

• Qualified professional in nursing or allied health with registration (NMC/HCPC).
• 1+ years post-qualification experience.
• Valid registration on NMC or HCPC without restrictions.
• Excellent communication skills and strong IT literacy.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end caseloads including face-to-face, virtual and telephone assessments.
• Prepare paper-based reports (PBR) and review further evidence.
• Assess a broad range of health conditions and disabilities.
• Time is built into rota for breaks, CPD, audit amendments, and team meetings.
