Job summary

The Fidelis Partnership in London is seeking a Head of Pine Walk Underwriting Governance to lead a small team and ensure underwriting activities across Pine Walk MGA cells run within a disciplined control framework. The role is on-site in London and requires extensive governance experience with delegated authority.

You will partner with senior underwriters and control functions to embed internal controls, influence governance in a fast-paced MGA environment, and support alignment with capacity

Qualifications

• ACII (or significant progress towards) preferred.
• Strong knowledge of specialty insurance and delegated authority.
• Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in underwriting governance, delegated authority oversight, quality assurance or internal control within the Lloyd’s or London Market.
• Excellent organisational skills to manage a high volume of tasks and projects.
• Ability to balance governance and commercial priorities in a dynamic MGA environment.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across underwriters, capacity providers and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Governance & Oversight: develop and oversee underwriting governance frameworks for Pine Walk cells.
• Review underwriting authorities annually and ensure compliance with ROFR positions.
• Coordinate ROFR process across Pine Walk cells with Fidelis IG and TFPl, maintaining accurate records.
• Coordinate risk appetite and allocation across capacity providers and Pine Walk cells.
• Provide oversight of quarterly EPI reviews and governance reporting for senior management.
• Conduct file reviews, thematic audits, and quality assurance across lines of business.
