Job summary

AstraZeneca plc is seeking a Pilot Plant Project Co-ordinator in Macclesfield to support safe, compliant manufacturing in our pilot plant. You will coordinate plans with Campaign Managers, Process Engineers and operations, manage risks, and identify opportunities to boost performance in a collaborative API manufacturing environment.

This role combines technical knowledge with practical project coordination, focusing on safety, quality and continuous improvement in a GMP setting.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a scientific or engineering discipline.
• Data-driven approach to process performance improvement.
• Ability to co-ordinate across multiple teams and priorities.
• Strong communication to raise risks with stakeholders.
• Collaborative approach to safety, quality and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate activities supporting COMAH critical task analysis across operations and engineering.
• Plan and organise critical task assessments with stakeholders and manage documentation.
• Maintain operational metrics and process safety information.
• Align operations and engineering plans; inform stakeholders of progress and risks.
• Plan and deliver changeover cleaning activities with Campaign/Technical Managers.
• Lead improvement initiatives to reduce changeover times.
• Coordinate materials for cleaning and manufacturing as needed.
• Prepare SHE and GMP documentation for manufacturing activities.
• Collaborate on engineering change controls with Process Engineers.
• Lead or support investigations and deviation management.
