Job summary

Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a newly qualified or current Band 5 children’s nurse to join the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PCCU) at Leeds Children’s Hospital. You will work within a 14 PICU and 6 HDU bedded unit, delivering specialist paediatric critical care alongside an experienced MDT.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or current Band 5 children's nurse applying to PCCU.
• Experience or exposure to paediatric intensive care is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide and be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of family-centred care for infants, children or young people in PICU/HDU.
• Deliver high quality intensive and HDU nursing care in a multidisciplinary team with supervision when appropriate.
• Participate in in-service training, preceptorship and mentorship of junior staff and students.
