Job summary

Straight Forward Recruitment is currently recruiting a reliable Picker / Packer - Goods-In Operative to join a busy warehouse team in Dereham, Norfolk. You will pick and pack orders accurately, receive and check deliveries, and help keep stock records up to date.

Full training is provided, previous warehouse experience is helpful but not essential. The role offers daytime hours, Monday to Friday 06:30–16:30, and a temp-to-perm progression with on-site work and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to work in a hands-on warehouse role.
• Able to work accurately and efficiently, including under time pressure.
• Reliable, responsible and committed to the role.
• Good attention to detail and a logical approach to tasks.
• Able to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn new systems and processes.
• Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Picking and packing goods accurately in line with SOPs.
• Receiving, checking and recording incoming deliveries.
• Inspecting goods to ensure correct quantities and quality standards.
• Using a warehouse management system to record and track stock movements.
• Keeping the warehouse and work areas clean, tidy and organised.
• Following Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
• Working efficiently to meet daily targets and deadlines.
• Supporting colleagues and contributing to smooth warehouse operations.
