Job summary

Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to support the Musculoskeletal Outpatient Physiotherapy team. You will help deliver high-quality rehabilitation for a diverse patient population, including exercise and manual therapy, in both one-to-one and group settings.

The role includes non-clinical duties and offers in-house training, mentorship, and career development within a supportive multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience of working as part of a team with patience and empathy
• Ability to work with a diverse range of patients
• Good computer skills across Microsoft and database software
• Ability to organise and prioritise

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Physiotherapists and Osteopaths in the delivery of high quality, effective care. This includes group and 1:1 based rehabilitation provision following an assessment by a clinician.
• Assisting in administrative duties, including reception cover, data entry, audits, and patient record management.
• Keeping equipment clean, safe, and stocked in line with infection control standards.
• Assisting the Team Leads to ensure stock and equipment levels are maintained and re-ordered on a regular basis and that equipment is well maintained and clean.
• Participating in service wide quality improvement, research and education initiatives where appropriate.
