Job Description:

AFC Wimbledon Women are looking to recruit a dedicated, self-motivated, and knowledgeable individual to join the medical department as a Physiotherapist or Sports Therapist. This role involves working with elite female footballers in Tier 3 women's football, providing physiotherapy and rehabilitation services for the first team and pathway players.

The successful candidate will work flexible hours, including weekends, midweek sessions, and occasional overnight stays. This position offers opportunities for internal CPD, staying current with literature, and enhancing practical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency first aid during training and matches
• Assess injured players clinically prior to games
• Maintain detailed injury and treatment records
• Communicate regularly with coaches, S&C team, and players regarding injuries and availability
• Participate in in-house CPD sessions
• Support junior therapists within the women's pathway
• Ensure compliance with club policies including health & safety, equality, safeguarding, and confidentiality

Qualifications and requirements include:

• BSc degree in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation
• HCPC/BASRaT/SST registration
• In-date EMFAif qualification with commitment to annual reaccreditation
• Willingness to work with high-level athletes, managing injuries and rehabilitation
• Medical insurance suitable for semi-professional women’s footballers
• Ability to participate in football at a high level
• MSc in Physiotherapy, Sports Therapy, or Sports Rehabilitation
