Organisation Windsor Rugby Club Salary TBC Location Windsor Contract type (Part time) Closing date 31 August 2025 Interview date 1 September 2025 Job Description JOB PURPOSE: Responsible for providing physiotherapy, sports rehabilitation and
therapy services to Windsor Rugby Club (WRFC) players, ensuring their
physical health, well-being and fitness are ready for both training and
competition
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Assess, treat and rehabilitate players' injuries or musculoskeletal conditions
• Deliver pre-emptive therapy and injury prevention programs
• Provide pitch-side support during matches and training sessions
• Conduct and monitor rehabilitation programs for injured players
• Offer taping services (both structural and dynamic taping)
• Liaise with coaches and medical team to ensure the well-being and progression of
players
• Maintain accurate medical records of all treatments and rehabilitation plans
• Work closely with the medical team to ensure that all player injuries are properly
assessed and managed
• Communicate effectively with players to ensure they understand their rehabilitation
programs
• Attend meetings (if required) with the club's management team to provide updates
on player injury status and rehabilitation progress
• Any additional reasonable tasks required to meet the needs of the medical team
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- This role requires strong communication, clinical assessment skills and the ability to work
flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
- DBS Check: Must have a valid Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check or
the willingness to undergo one
- PHICIS Level 2 Certification (minimum): Certification in PHICIS (Pre-Hospital Immediate
Care in Sport) Level 2 or equivalent or the willingness to obtain it through WRFC
- Board Membership: Active membership with a recognized professional body such as The
Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP) or equivalent professional association
- Public Liability Insurance: Must have personal public liability insurance to cover therapy
treatments
- Taping Competency: Must be competent in structural and dynamic taping techniques
- Rehabilitation Skills: Proven experience in sports rehabilitation and managing sports
injuries
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills for interacting with players,
coaching team and medical professionals
Desirable Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience working in a sports or rugby setting
- Additional certifications in injury prevention, rehabilitation techniques or sports
performance
- Knowledge of sports-specific biomechanics and strength and conditioning
Work Conditions:
- Flexible working hours, including evening and weekend shifts to accommodate match
schedules and player rehabilitation needs
- This role will require attendance at matches, training sessions and club events
