Job summary

Nuffield Health Brighton Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our team on a bank/ ad-hoc basis. You will assess, treat and rehabilitate a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions within a multidisciplinary team, using our on-site gym and facilities.

You will be HCPC registered with a BSc Physiotherapy, and committed to evidence-based practice and continuing professional development. The role offers flexible hours and opportunities across a leading healthcare charity.

Nuffield Health is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to join the team at Brighton Hospital and Haywards Heath Hospitals. You will see a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions from sports to workplace related injuries and will play a key role in helping our patients achieve, maintain and recover to the level of health and wellbeing that they aspire to. The role is based in the Hospital where you can treat your patients utilising on site gym equipment and rehabilitation facilities. You will work within a multidisciplinary team including fitness professionals and clinicians to optimise the health of our patients. The role would suit individuals with a desire of making a positive impact across a large workforce. As a Physiotherapist, you will:

• Assess and treat a wide variety of elective orthopedic, genealogical and general surgery patients in an inpatient setting
• Provide a safe and effective rehabilitation program to optimise their recovery post surgery
• Deliver excellent clinical care that is evidence based, Safe, Effective, Caring, Well-led and responsive to our patient's needs
• Ensure on-going monitoring of the standard of treatment provided
• Be compliant with all professional, clinical and integrated governance standards and participate in clinical audit and other quality assurance processes, Working on the bank means you are not contracted to a set number of hours per week but instead work on an ad-hoc basis to suit the needs of the business and your availability.
• As a Physiotherapist at our Brighton Hospital, you'll have a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. You also have excellent manual therapy skills, and you're committed to developing as a practitioner. You're a confident communicator, skilled at engaging with all kinds of people., With a BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent, you'll be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. You will have evidence of further professional training and continual professional development, reflecting your desire to develop as a practitioner
• You’ll be a confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with the general public and other healthcare professionals. With a commitment to the use of evidence-based practice, you’ll also be able to demonstrate excellent manual therapy skills
• We expect you to be a competent and confident IT user and to be well organised - you’ll have the ability to prioritise and deal with your varied workload in an effective and timely manner
