Job Description:

The role:

To assess the fitness levels of new recruits, current police and support staff. To provide fitness training to new recruits and to promote a responsible attitude to fitness levels throughout the force.

Skills required:

  • Degree or equivalent in PE, Health or Sports related area.
  • Experience in planning, implementation, and evaluation of physical activity projects.
  • IT literate with the ability to produce accurate reports and statistics promptly.
  • Evidence of continuous professional development.
  • Current practical experience in the field.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise students, especially new recruits and probationary constables during their training.
  • Develop and coordinate physical activity programs to increase staff participation.
  • Work across various police stations within the North Wales force area as required.
  • Be flexible with working hours to facilitate training across the force area.
  • Ensure compliance with NWP policies on equal opportunities and health & safety.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and colleagues to meet organisational goals.
  • Perform technical or manual tasks according to professional standards.
  • Provide expert advice to colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct fair and objective performance reviews, recognizing achievements and identifying areas for development.
