Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Assisted Living Facility

Salary Range: $60,000 – $70,000 per year

Location: Portsmouth, Virginia

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to provide therapeutic support within assisted living facilities across Virginia. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring, motivated PTA to work with a steady patient population in a low-stress, relationship-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist.
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and other skilled interventions.
  • Assist in monitoring and documenting residents' progress.
  • Help educate residents, families, and caregivers on home exercises and safety techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with facility staff and interdisciplinary teams to promote resident health and independence.
  • Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
  • Current Virginia PTA license (or ability to obtain).
  • Experience in geriatrics or senior living preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
