Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a Physical Therapist for full-time day shifts. You will help patients maintain, restore and improve movement and function, with ongoing reexaminations and discharge planning as required.

This role emphasizes home-based care and patient-centered therapy. Applicants must have a CAPTE-accredited PT program, an active license in the relevant state, CPR certification, and typically one year of home health PT experience; mentoring may be required for less experienced

Qualifications

• Graduate from a CAPTE-accredited physical therapy program.
• One year of related physical therapy experience for home health care or approval from regional clinical leaders if less than one year.
• Current CPR certification.

• Provides interventions, conducts reexaminations (every 30 days, at minimum), modifies interventions as necessary, and performs discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current license to practice physical therapy specific to the state you\'re assigned to work in.
• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy educational program as set by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year related physical therapy experience for PTs entering home health care to ensure that knowledge and skills are sufficient to safely provide physical therapy services to patients.
• If less than one year of experience, approval from regional clinical leaders is required as well as appropriate mentoring and/or participating in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.
