Job summary

United Utilities is seeking a proactive professional to lead physical security risk management across our assets. You will develop risk frameworks, conduct site surveys and collaborate with Water and Waste Water teams to identify vulnerabilities and propose proportionate security measures.

The role involves travel within the UU region and requires driving and stakeholder coordination to ensure regulatory compliance and robust security outcomes.

Qualifications

• Educated to A Level or equivalent experience.
• Experience in a risk management environment with engineering knowledge of infrastructure or related installations.
• Knowledge of quality management procedures and Asset Delivery is preferred but not essential.
• Background knowledge of Water and Waste Water and treatment processes.
• Office 365 skills and use of project management tools; attention to detail.
• Flexibility and commitment to achieve project outcomes within a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a physical security risk management framework with stakeholders.
• Conduct site surveys, desktop reviews and on-site risk assessments.
• Build knowledge of physical security principles and certified products.
• Create and deliver a security risk programme identifying assets in scope and assessing vulnerabilities.
• Recommend physical security improvements and maintain records and regulatory reporting.
