Job summary

CCL Global is recruiting for an experienced Physical Security Lead to support a major public sector infrastructure programme. This role focuses on protective and physical security risk management across a diverse portfolio, reporting to senior stakeholders and ensuring governance and best practices across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Physical Security or Protective Security within government, defence, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.
• Proven experience writing and reviewing physical security risk assessments.
• Strong understanding of threat, vulnerability and risk management principles.
• Experience using recognised Protective Security Risk Management (PSRM) methodologies.
• Experience producing Incident Management Plans, risk registers and operational security documentation.
• Strong knowledge of physical security governance, compliance and assurance.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders across complex organisations.
• Excellent report writing and technical documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Review, audit and rewrite physical security risk assessments across a multi-site estate.
• Develop robust physical security risk registers, mitigation plans and supporting documentation.
• Apply recognised protective security risk management methodologies to identify threats, vulnerabilities and appropriate controls.
• Review historic and current security information to produce accurate and consistent risk scoring.
• Develop and improve Incident Management Plans and associated security procedures.
• Ensure security processes are reflected within SOPs and Assignment Instructions (AIs).
• Assess emerging threats and target attractiveness across multiple locations.
• Work collaboratively with senior security stakeholders to improve operational resilience and compliance.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation suitable for senior management and governance.

Job description

CCL Global is recruiting for an experienced Physical Security Lead to support a major public sector infrastructure programme. This is an excellent opportunity for a security professional with extensive experience in protective security, physical security risk management and operational security, capable of reviewing, developing and enhancing security frameworks across a diverse property portfolio.

Working closely with senior operational stakeholders, you will lead the review and redevelopment of physical security risk assessments, risk registers and incident management documentation, ensuring consistency, compliance and best practice across multiple locations.

Location: North of England (Hybrid – 3 days per week)

Contract: 6 Months Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

• Review, audit and rewrite physical security risk assessments across a multi-site estate.
• Develop robust physical security risk registers, mitigation plans and supporting documentation.

Essential Experience

• Significant experience in Physical Security or Protective Security within government, defence, critical infrastructure or other highly regulated environments.

Desirable Experience

• Experience within the UK Public Sector, Government or Critical National Infrastructure.
• Knowledge of supply chain security and operational resilience.
• Experience supporting large, multi-site estates or infrastructure programmes.
• Familiarity with recognised government protective security guidance and standards.
