We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Healthcare Nurse to join our dynamic team. Our mission is to ensure that all patients receive the highest standard of physical healthcare, guided by best practices and clinical evidence.

What you will be doing:

• Provide support to the Nursing and wider MDTs in ensuring patients have their physical healthcare needs identified, care planned, and evaluated according to best practice and clinical evidence.
• Offer advice and support to colleagues regarding physical healthcare needs, including infection control, screening programmes, and site-specific requirements.
• Be the site lead for Infection Prevention and Control.

What we’re looking for:

• Qualified Registered General Nurse (RGN) with 2 years post-registration experience, active NMC registration, and completed preceptorship programme. Consideration given to nurses registered in MH or LD services demonstrating competence.
• Qualified Mentor or willing to achieve within 12 months of employment.
• Knowledge of NMC guidelines and professional practices.
• Evidence of ongoing professional development.
• Positive attitude, commitment to change, improvement, and quality.
• Ability to develop flexible and innovative practice approaches.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
