Job summary

Lendable, a fast-growing UK fintech, is seeking a PHP Engineer to join the UK Loans team. You will work on APIs and customer journeys within a dynamic tech environment.

You’ll contribute with PHP 8+, Symfony, Docker and AWS, emphasizing testing and architecture discussions. Hybrid working with in-office days is available, alongside a collaborative, ambitious team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience with PHP
• Strong, business oriented, engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must)
• High degree of ownership and autonomy
• A good understanding of Symfony
• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing would be a plus
• Strong automatic testing skills (unit, integration, functional, behat)

We're looking for a PHP Engineer to join our growing UK Loans team, either based in or around London

Our engineering organisation is home to over 200 talented engineers across backend, frontend, mobile, and platform disciplines.

You'll have the opportunity to work on everything from building and integrating new APIs to enhance the customer journey, to optimising our lending platforms, and engaging in deep architectural discussions. There's plenty to tackle, and we're excited to find the right people to take on the challenge.

What we’re looking for

Essential

• 5+ years experience with PHP

• Strong, business oriented, engineer with modern PHP development experience (PHP 8.0+ is a must)

• High degree of ownership and autonomy

• A good understanding of Symfony

• Experience with Domain Driven Design, Message-Driven Systems and Event Sourcing would be a plus

• Strong automatic testing skills (unit, integration, functional, behat)

Desirable

• Experience working on financial systems

• A keen desire to want to learn and input into a highly collaborative team
