Job description

Work Location: Onsite
About You:

Do you love when you get that perfect image? One that fully encapsulates the emotions you want to convey in an image. Do you love when you finish a perfect edit, and just know that’s an image that people will love?

Looking to be an integral part of an amazing team, have your voice heard, and feel like you belong?

DFYNE may be the place for you.

About DFYNE:

A picture paints a thousand words… and we’re sure you don’t want to be sat here reading an essay of corporate “about us” spiel…. Seriously, how’re you able to really get under the skin of what we’re about from a few words on a screen. So why don’t you have a look and see what we’re all about for yourself www.dfyne.com .

About the role - DFYNE Your Career:

First off, it’s best I introduce myself (person behind the keyboard here). It's not the norm on a job role spec, but I feel it’s important for this one in particular. I’m Oscar, the CEO and Founder here at DFYNE.

We're looking for a Photography Team Lead to run our entire photography team. You'll be an exceptional photographer yourself, the person the team learns from, and you'll run the team day to day, from planning and people to budgets, bookings and admin. You'll be hands on shooting key work yourself while making the whole team better. You'll report to Sean, our Head of Creative, and work with him closely turning the creative direction and launch calendar into a plan the team can deliver, and making sure every drop has the content it needs before it's needed. This is a new role, there is no Photography Team Lead today, so you'll set up the guidelines, workflows and team structure from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead the team

Manage, coach and develop photographers, 1:1s, feedback, reviews, training plans.

Set clear expectations for quality and output.

Build a culture of high standards, ownership and continuous improvement.

Deal with performance issues fairly and early.

Plan ahead with the Head of Creative

Work closely with Sean, Head of Creative, on the content calendar, briefs and visual direction.

Shoot campaigns

Plan and shoot campaign and lifestyle imagery for drops, from brief and mood-board to final selects.

Run campaign logistics with the creative team. Shot lists, call sheets, locations, models and budgets.

Own the assets

Expert in lightroom and Photoshop, with a strong understanding of retouching workflows.

Knowledge of marketplace and channel image requirements (background, crop, resolution)

Proven forward planning, content calendars, launch schedules and resource planning across several drops at once.

Strong organisation and admin.
