Job Description:

You will lead and motivate your team to communicate with our customers, offering expert sales advice and support to ensure they receive the best deal that meets their needs, provides value, and fosters loyalty.

You will be responsible for:

  1. Listening to customer feedback and acting on it promptly, including following up on complaints and guiding your team to improve the shopping experience.
  2. Delivering excellent shopping experiences daily by ensuring your team operates effectively according to Tesco standards.
  3. Engaging your team to optimize product availability and manage RFID counts with the Stock and Admin manager.
  4. Encouraging passion for products and maintaining proper presentation, handling, and storage routines.
  5. Creating a positive first impression by coaching your team to maintain shelf standards for visibility and access.
  6. Leading a service-oriented culture by modeling helpful and friendly behaviors and demonstrating enthusiasm for customer satisfaction.
  7. Controlling departmental costs, minimizing waste, and meeting budgets.
  8. Collaborating with the business to grow sales through effective range and merchandising activities.
  9. Encouraging team participation in community initiatives aligned with Tesco’s strategies.

You will need:

  1. To ensure your team is trained to confidently approach customers and sell the right products at the right price.
  2. To work closely with your team, Area Manager, and management to define and achieve standards for the Phone Shop.
  3. To celebrate successes and treat everyone with respect, fostering a caring environment that makes a difference for customers and staff.
