Zusammenfassung

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Band 2 Community Phlebotomist to work with the Community Nursing team based at Sheppey Community Hospital and visit patients in their homes across the local area.

You will perform venipuncture independently, delivering compassionate care while coordinating with Community Nursing teams and GPs. A full UK driving license and access to a car during the working day are essential.

Qualifikationen

• NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification.
• Previous phlebotomy experience is required.
• Strong communication and patient-care skills.
• Ability to work independently in the community.

Aufgaben

• Visit patients in their own homes to perform venipuncture and collect blood samples.
• Provide a professional, compassionate, reassuring experience for patients.
• Ensure samples are correctly labelled and handled.
• Organise daily workload and travel efficiently between appointments.
• Carry out phlebotomy independently within your competence level.
• Escalate concerns to a senior colleague or GP when needed.
• Maintain accurate, timely patient records and confidentiality.
• Follow infection prevention and safety procedures.
