Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy safely, confidently and efficiently.
• Collect blood samples for laboratory investigations.
• Identify, label and handle samples in line with procedures.
• Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records.
• Give a calm, professional and reassuring experience to anxious patients.
• Keep the clinical environment clean, safe and well organised.
• Work as part of the wider multidisciplinary practice team.
