Qualifications

• Experience as Security Analyst, SOC Analyst, Information Security Analyst, or similar.
• Hands-on Mimecast experience including quarantine management and release processes.
• Experience with Microsoft Defender and related security tooling.
• Familiarity with Freshservice or similar ITSM/ticketing platform.
• Strong understanding of phishing attacks and email security threats.
• Ability to quickly investigate and assess security risks.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyse and respond to suspected phishing and malicious emails.
• Review reported emails and determine legitimacy or security threat.
• Manage email quarantine and release requests via Mimecast.
• Monitor security alerts in Microsoft Defender.
• Triage and manage security incidents through Freshservice.
• Escalate confirmed threats following established procedures.
• Identify trends in phishing, spam campaigns and social engineering.
• Block malicious senders, domains and email threats where appropriate.
• Support end users with security guidance and best practices.
• Maintain records of investigations and incident outcomes.
• Collaborate with IT and Security teams to improve email security processes.
• Assist with security reporting and threat trend updates.
