Job summary

Cloud Bridge Tech Recruitment is seeking a Security Analyst for an initial 3-month contract on a part-time, 2 days per week onsite basis near Holborn. The role focuses on protecting email security, investigating threats and guiding users with security best practices.

You will work with Mimecast, Microsoft Defender and Freshservice to triage incidents, manage phishing investigations and provide timely security updates to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, analyse and respond to suspected phishing and malicious emails.
• Review reported emails and determine whether communications are legitimate or represent a security threat.
• Manage email quarantine and release requests through Mimecast.
• Monitor and respond to security alerts generated within Microsoft Defender.
• Triage and manage security incidents and requests through Freshservice.
• Escalate confirmed threats and incidents following established security procedures.
• Identify trends in phishing attacks, spam campaigns and social engineering attempts.
• Block malicious senders, domains and email threats where appropriate.
• Support end users with security-related concerns and provide guidance on best practice.
• Maintain accurate records of investigations, actions taken and incident outcomes.
• Work closely with IT and Security teams to continuously improve email security processes.
• Assist with security reporting and provide updates on threat activity and incident trends.
