Job summary
NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is seeking a Pharmacy Support Worker to join the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team at the Beatson West of Scotland Cancer Centre. You will help supply medicines for clinical trials and support the Dispensary to ensure safe, efficient service to patients.
We offer development opportunities, a permanent contract at 36 hours per week and a structured training plan including an SVQ at SCQF Level 6. Flexible working arrangements may be discussed where possible.
Qualifications
- Essential: National 5/Standard Grade or above.
- Essential: healthcare, pharmacy or customer-facing experience.
- Proficient IT skills including typing.
- Experience with Word and Excel; Outlook email.
- Desirable: experience using stock control systems.
- Willingness to undertake SVQ Level 6 and the on-the-job training.
Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of Clinical Trials Pharmacy services.
- Ensure safe and effective supply of medicines to patients in trials.
- Work as part of the Clinical Trials Pharmacy team.
- Undertake the SVQ in Pharmacy Services Group Award at SCQF Level 6.
- Complete a comprehensive on-the-job training programme.
