Job summary

The Arch Medical Practice in Manchester is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to join our multidisciplinary team. You will support medicines optimisation, assist with repeat prescribing, medication reviews, and ensure safe systems for prescribing and monitoring.

You will work closely with clinical pharmacists, GPs, nurses and the wider team to improve patient safety, support reconciliation after hospital discharge, and contribute to service improvement in a busy primary care setting.

Qualifications

• GCSE grade A–C in English and Maths.
• Strong attention to detail is essential.
• Experience in a busy primary care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support medication reviews and medicines reconciliation.
• Assist antimicrobial stewardship initiatives.
• Support medicines optimisation and patient safety audits.
• Implement national prescribing policies in GP practices and care homes.
• Assist with repeat prescribing and prescription requests.
• Provide training on safe handling of medicines and EPS.
