Job summary

DoctorPA Secure LTD is seeking a registered Pharmacy Technician to join Campsfield House Immigration Removal Centre's healthcare team. You will undertake medicines reconciliation, support medicines optimisation, and ensure safe dispensing in a secure environment under NHS England specifications.

We expect strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a commitment to medicines safety, audit processes, and high standards of record keeping.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• NVQ Level 3 / BTEC in Pharmacy Services or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational and prioritisation skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication, especially with vulnerable patients.
• Commitment to medicines safety, audits, and accurate record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Undertake medicines reconciliation for new receptions and transfers.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies with prescribers and external providers.
• Perform medication checks to optimise therapy and support adherence.
• Support Medicines Use Reviews and patient counselling.
• Provide guidance on in-possession medicines, side effects and correct use.
• Promote medicines safety, audit processes, and governance.
