Job summary

Waythrough is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician to join the Calderdale Recovery clinical team. You will support medicines optimisation, opioid substitution treatment and harm reduction for people accessing drug and alcohol recovery services.

You will dispense and advise on medicines, work with a multidisciplinary team, and help ensure safe, coordinated care and meticulous recordkeeping throughout the recovery journey.

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
• Post-qualification experience in pharmacy settings is essential.
• Knowledge of medicines optimisation and controlled drugs regulations is important.

Responsibilities

• Support safe and effective use of medicines across the service.
• Dispense and administer medicines where appropriate within competencies.
• Support safe management of controlled drugs, medicines and stock.
• Provide clear medication advice to service users and healthcare professionals.
• Support prescribing processes, treatment reviews and medicines optimisation.
• Contribute to opioid substitution treatment and harm reduction measures.
• Undertake health assessments and basic clinical observations.
• Maintain accurate, confidential clinical records.
