Job summary

NHFT in Nottingham is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our secure healthcare setting at HMP Nottingham. You will deliver medicines management services, support residents and nursing staff, and perform medicines reconciliation and stock management with a focus on patient safety.

Applicants must have GPhC registration, evidence CPD, and familiarity with SystmOne; experience in secured services is desirable.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration is required and evidenced CPD is expected.
• Knowledge of medicines management and safety practices.
• Experience in secure environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide a daily medicines management service, including administering medications and answering drug-related queries.
• Support nursing staff with medication queries and prescription checks.
• Perform medicines reconciliation for new admissions.
• Manage medication stock in line with policy and record-keeping.
• Maintain resident medication records using electronic systems.
