A NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a qualified registered Pharmacy Technician passionate about Education and Training to join their busy pharmacy team. The role involves supporting training, maintaining pharmacy systems knowledge, and contributing to both ward and dispensary commitments. Applicants must come with relevant qualifications and a commitment to continuous improvement.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, ambitious and motivated qualified registered Pharmacy Technician who has a passion for Education and Training, and is keen to develop their skills further to join our busy pharmacy team at the Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust.
The successful candidate will be registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC and be a qualified assessor or working towards an assessor qualification.
The role focuses on Education and Training but the successful candidate will also have ward and dispensary commitments.
We are fully automated with Meditech and EPMA systems, dispensing robot and have imminent further new developments, the successful candidate will be an essential part of this.
We are forward thinking, and encourage our Pharmacy Technicians to learn and obtain further relevant qualifications.
Support the Education and Training Leads in the development and update of training packages
Undertake training for medicines management, dispensary and clinical trials
To assess level 2, level 3 and other relevant pharmacy qualifications
To maintain sufficient knowledge of dispensing and pharmacy systems both at ward level and dispensary
To support the development of new and existing pharmacy staff
Undertake training and validations
To work at ward level undertaking medicines reconciliations.
