Job summary

Skills4Group in Wigston is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. You will support the safe, lawful supply of medicines while training to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

This role provides blended learning and hands-on experience, with Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and progression to full-time employment on successful completion. A strong customer service focus and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English are desirable but not essential.
• If Maths/English Level 2 is missing, tests will determine suitability for the course.
• Strong interest in pharmacy and healthcare and customer service are important.
• Experience in pharmacy or similar is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines safely.
• Providing patient advice on prescriptions and OTC medicines.
• Supporting day-to-day running: stock control and governance.
• Supervising and mentoring pharmacy staff as you progress.
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff and maintaining audit standards.

Brief Description

LE18 4PB We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Skills Required

We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
