Job summary

JustApply is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice for a busy Peterborough pharmacy team. The role offers progression toward becoming a registered Pharmacy Technician, with training provided through a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship and a blended learning approach.

You will support safe medicine supply, engage with patients, and contribute to stock control and team operations while developing clinically from day one.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C in Maths and English are preferred; if not held, course-based tests may determine suitability.
• Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications may be required and assessed via initial tests.

Responsibilities

• Manage, order, receive, and supply medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately.
• Provide patient advice on prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines.
• Support day-to-day pharmacy operations including stock control and governance.

Brief overview of the role:

PE1 2EJ We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required:

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Personal Qualities:

Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience

Desired skills:

• A keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.
• Previous experience in the pharmacy industry or similar.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
