Job summary

Skills4Group is recruiting a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice in the Didcot area. You will support safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working with pharmacists and the healthcare team. This role is designed to develop the skills needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

You will manage medicines, advise patients, and help with stock control and governance. The apprenticeship leads to a Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship with registration eligibility upon

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C (4-9) or equivalent; Maths/English desirable but course can provide.
• For applicants without Maths/English Level 2, must complete initial tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing advised guidance to patients on prescriptions and OTC medicines
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy, stock control and governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and feedback

Brief Description

OX11 0BB We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Key responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person-centered advice to patients on prescription and over-the-counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification

Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A-level)
On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
