Job summary

JustApply Ltd invites applicants for a Pharmacy Technician (Integrated) Level 3 apprenticeship. You will train under the Practice Supervisor, progressing in dispensing, record keeping and patient counselling within a pharmacy setting.

The role offers on-site training with the opportunity to gain industry-specific competence and potential for full-time employment upon successful completion of the apprenticeship.

Qualifications

• GCSEs A-C (Maths and English) desired but not essential; courses can be provided.
• Maths and English Level 2 qualification or tests may be required/assessed for suitability.
• Employer is looking for someone with a Level 2 qualification in pharmacy dispensing.

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, progress knowledge in pharmacy duties including dispensing and record keeping.
• Accurate dispensing of prescribed items.
• Receiving and checking medication requests (prescriptions).
• Counselling patients on the use of their medicines.
• Accurate record keeping and stock management in pharmacy.
• Ward-based and medicines optimisation activities including reconciliation and patient counselling.

Brief overview of the role:

To undertake training and prove competence in pharmaceutical duties under the direction of the Practice Supervisor in each section including: Accuracy Checking, Dispensing, Patient Healthcare needs, administrative tasks following GPhC standard operating procedures.

Qualifications Required:

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
