Job summary

JustApply Ltd. is hiring for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team in Covingham.

The role focuses on supporting safe and lawful medicines supply, working closely with pharmacists to develop the skills needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician. You will gain hands-on experience while completing the Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, with training delivered blended alongside your job.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9; Maths and English desired but can be provided as part of the course.
• Maths and English Level 2 (or equivalent) may be required to start course; tests may be used to determine suitability.

Responsibilities

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing patient advice on prescriptions and over-the-counter medicines
• Supporting day-to-day running of the pharmacy including stock control and governance
• Supervising and supporting staff as you progress
• Assisting with training and mentoring new staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing and responding to feedback

Brief overview of the role:

SN3 5AA We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. This role is ideal for someone looking to progress within pharmacy and develop the skills and knowledge needed to become a registered Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications Required:

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Personal Qualities:

Team working, Initiative, Non judgemental, Patience

Desired skills:

• A keen interest in pharmacy and healthcare.

About the role:

As a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice, you will support the safe, effective and lawful supply of medicines while working closely with pharmacists and the wider healthcare team. We are recruiting for a Pharmacy Technician Apprentice to join a busy pharmacy team. Key responsibilities include:

• Managing, ordering, receiving and supplying medicines and pharmaceutical products safely and accurately
• Providing person‑centred advice to patients on prescription and over‑the‑counter medicines, referring to healthcare professionals where appropriate
• Supporting the day‑to‑day running of the pharmacy, including business processes, stock control and clinical governance
• Supervising and supporting pharmacy support staff as you progress in the role
• Assisting with training and mentoring new members of staff
• Maintaining high standards through auditing, evaluating services and responding to feedback

Apprenticeship & qualification:

• Level 3 Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship (equivalent to A‑level)
• On successful completion, you will be eligible to register with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Training delivered through a blended learning approach alongside your job
